As 2023 draws to a close, we reflect on our journey since we opened our doors in late September.
Our primary objective in October was to formulate a methodology for evaluating all leads brought to our attention. We have successfully developed and implemented this methodology, which now allows us to assess the viability and potential of products shortlisted for export between Latin America and the EU (and vice-versa) with heightened precision. Concurrently, we initiated the establishment of partnerships with local suppliers in the EU and buyers in Brazil, laying the groundwork for mutual success.
In November, we ventured to Sweden to explore the world of innovative construction methods and engineered wood products. The visit to manufacturers of engineered wood and modular housing showed us the transformative potential of novel construction techniques, particularly those involving Cross-Laminated Timber (CLT) and Glued Laminated Timber (Glulam). This paradigm shift in housing opens exciting import/export opportunities, strategically positioning Kaleidos as a leading facilitator in the distribution of these products.
Subsequently, we returned to Portugal, where we visited multiple factories in different sectors to fortify our relationships with local suppliers. This has brought us significantly closer to an important milestone - the shipment of select products to Brazil, which we expect to take place in the early months of 2024. The remainder of December will be spent finalising these plans.
We express our gratitude for the invaluable support received from so many of you throughout these first few months. We remain committed to fostering the collaborative spirit, innovative mindset, and unwavering dedication that has got us here so far.
Our warmest wishes to all and happy holidays! 🎅
